Dionne Reid is a charismatic singer songwriter from south London. She has spent years developing her HeArt and now the time has come for her to share her music with you. New single ‘Vibe’ will be released on the 30th August.

Dionne Reid found her voice as a teenager whilst in secondary school. Soon after this discovery, singing instantly became a form of release for her as she was influenced by the likes of Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliot and Bob Marley. The lyrics, the beats, the melodies all had such an impact on Dionne that she quickly realized this music was more than just cathartic for her, but also a deep passion she was compelled to pursue!

When Dionne embarked on this journey she became a regular performer at open mic nights, allowing her the chance to connect with audiences, master her craft and introduce herself to the music scene. Since those early days, Dionne’s music has been supported by BBC Radio 6’s Tom Robinson, as well as Fearne Cotton, Ace, Seani B Scott Mills, Huw Stephens and Jo Whiley from Radio 1 and BBC 1xtra. She was made a playlisted BBC Radio 1’s Artist of the Week  on the network. They described her music as “refreshing honest music with a beautiful tone”.

Thanks in part to this critical acclaim, Dionne has gone from strength to strength gracing the stage at countless live showcases, supported U.S Songstress Teedra Moses in concert, performing on the UK’s biggest festival stages including Wireless, Love box and T4 on the beach and gracing the stage of the world-famous Glastonbury festival. And it doesn’t stop there, Dionne has also supported the brilliant Julian Marley, Gregory Issac and Beenie Man on stage more recently…an enviable list of legends for any artist to support.

Having already achieved so much, Dionne has been further developing her craft, working on her sound, experimenting with her social media sensation – ReidMix and taking on additional creative ventures which has enabled her to get even closer to the music she wants to put out.

Dionne’s music is a refreshing fusion of contemporary soul and reggae, a smooth blend of honest lyrics and body-moving melodies which are a treat for your ears.
